Congratulations to our 2011 Non-Perishable Food Item Queen, Joni Streber!

Our 2011 Non-Perishable Food Item Queen

The Potato Princess, now Queen, won in a tight race with daily donations of non-perishable food items and great answers to tough questions during the Non-Perishable Food Item Pageant on March 3rd.  Our 1st Runner-up, Fruit Cocktail Princess and Wilmington College Student Kali Wilt as well as 2nd Runner-up, Peas & Carrots Princess, Professor Mary Rose Zink, were both honored before the winner was crowned.

Our 1st Runner-Up thanks the crowd.

But that does not lessen the efforts of our seven other contestants, judges, MC, and volunteers who helped collect over 800 food items to be donated to Sugartree Ministries and the Clinton County Homeless Shelter while still making this event fun for everyone.
