Want to help Grow Food, Grow Hope?  Here are a few things we could use that you might have at home.  Please bring any donated items to the Center for Service & Civic Engagement at Wilmington College.  

A Copy of The Edible Front Yard by Ivette Soler.

Gardening tools: shovels, hoes, etc

Handheld gardening tools: hand cultivator, spades, etc.

Canning supplies for food preservation demonstrations.  

Freezer bags for food preservation workshops.

Microphone for our JVC Everio Camcorder
for better sound quality in our videos.  

Watering cans

2x4s to build raised beds.

Fencing to go around the Mulberry Street Garden beds to deter wildlife.

Seed starting trays to use in our
Mulberry Street Pop Bottle Greenhouse.

Growing medium and potting soil for filling raised beds,
starting seeds, filling container gardens, etc.

Vegetable seeds to start for the growing season.

Hammers to assist with our raised bed builds.

Rebar pins 1/2" x 24" for building raised beds.

Staple gun for attaching plastic sheeting to hoop house frames.

Plant stakes and twine

MAC Computer for Public Relations and graphic design use.

DSLR Camera for professional public relations photography

Large containers for container gardening.
We do accept recycled containers...but please make sure these
gifts are usable for the apartment dwellers who will be receiving them!

50 Gallon Drums to use as water barrels
at all of our garden sites.  

Outdoor kitchen for our cooking demonstrations.
